MONITORDAY.COM - Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) buka suara soal kabar penangkapan Menteri Edhy Prabowo oleh Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK). KKP masih menunggu informasi dari KPK.
"Kami masih menunggu informasi resmi dari pihak KPK mengenai kondisi yang sedang terjadi," ujar Sekretaris Jenderal KKP Antam Novambar dalam keterangan resmi yang dikutip Monitorday.com, Rabu (25/11/2020).
Ia mengatakan bahwa KKP menghargai proses hukum yang sedang berjalan di KPK.

"Kami menghargai proses hukum yang sedang berjalan," tegasnya.
Terkait pendampingan hukum, KKP akan mengikuti prosedur dan ketentuan yang berlaku. Yang pasti, Antam mengimbau masyarakat untuk tidak berspekulasi terkait proses hukum yang sedang berjalan.
"Mari kita menunggu bersama informasi resminya seperti apa dan biar penegak hukum bekerja secara profesional," pungkasnya.
Menteri Edhy Prabowo ditangkap oleh tim KPK di Bandara Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) pada Rabu (25/11) dini hari sekitar pukul 01.00 WIB seusai pulang kunjungan dari Amerika Serikat (AS).
Dia ditangkap bersama istrinya yang juga anggota Komisi V DPR Iis Rosita Dewi dan sejumlah pejabat KKP. Penangkapan Edhy terkait dengan dugaan korupsi dalam ekspor benur atau benih lobster.[]
