MONITORDAY.COM - Sejumlah elemen masyarakat pada hari ini melakukan deklarasi dukungan terhadap mantan Panglima TNI, Jenderal (purn) Gatot Nurmantyo untuk maju dalam Pilpres 2019 mendatang.
Kelompok yang menamakan diri sebagai Gatot Nurmantyo untuk Rakyat (GNR) itu mengklaim merupakan para relawan yang terdiri dari aktivis, nelayan, buruh, petani, pedagang, mahasiswa dan santri.
Ketua Presidium Nasional GNR, Dondi Rivaldi menuturkan demi mewujudkan tatanan nilai berbangsa dan mencegah kasus memecah belah anak bangsa, dibutuhkan tatanan demokrasi yang baik serta karakter kepemimpinan yang kuat dan tegas. Selain itu, juga mementingkan kepentingan rakyat di atas kepentingan pribadi.

"Dengan ini kami menyatakan siap memperjuangkan dan memenangkan Bapak Gatot Nurmantyo sebagai Presiden Republik Indonesia periode 2019-2014 dengan cara adil, beradab dan bermartabat," katanya di Restoran Pulau Dua, Senayan, Jakarta, Jumat (6/4/2018).
Dondi yang juga merupakan Juru Bicara Front Eksponen 98 menghimbau kepada para elemen masyarakat untuk membuka ruang bagi gerakan suara rakyat untuk kepemimpinan nasional. Untuk itu, pihaknya mengajak lapisan masyarakat untuk menggalang kekuatan memenangkan Gatot dalam Pilpres mendatang.
Lebih lanjut, ia menghimbau kepada seluruh masyarakat Indonesia untuk melakukan cara-cara kampanye yang simpatik dengan memegang teguh prinsip kemanusiaan, keadilan, keterbukan serta tidak melanggar peraturan perundang-undangan yang ada.
"Deklarasi ini adalah langkah awal kami, Presidium GNR untuk terus melakukan konsolidasi dan sosialisasi demi meraih kemenangan bagi Gatot Nurmantyo di Pilpres 2019 nanti," pungkas Dodi.
