DPR Minta BRIN Ekstra Ketat Monitor Penyebaran Virus Corona di Indonesia
BRIN harus bergerak cepat untuk mengantisipasi berbagai kemungkinan yang disebabkan oleh penyebaran virus corona. Meski hingga saat ini di Indonesia belum ditemukan terduga penderita virus corona tapi Pemerintah dalam hal ini BRIN perlu ekstra ketat memonitor penyebaran virus mematikan ini.

COM - Anggota Komisi VII DPR RI, Mulyanto mendorong pemerintah segera menugaskan Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) segera melakukan koordinasi dengan Lembaga Lembaga Biologi Molekular (LBM) Eijkman dan Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Balitbang) Kementerian Kesehatan untuk menyelidiki kemungkinan penularan virus Corona yang mematikan itu di Indonesia.

Meski hingga saat ini di Indonesia belum ditemukan terduga penderita virus corona tapi Pemerintah dalam hal ini BRIN perlu ekstra ketat memonitor penyebaran virus mematikan ini,” kata Mulyanto di Komplek Parlemen Senayan, Jakarta Pusat, Senin (10/02/2020).
Menurut Mulyanto, Indonesia sangat beresiko tertular virus corona. Bahkan, secara geografis posisi Indonesia berada di wilayah negara-negara yang sudah terpapar virus corona.

Selain itu, Mulyanto mengatakan intensitas barang masuk dari negara China yang merupakan sumber virus corona cukup tinggi.
“Bukan kita paranoid. Namun jangan sampai kita terlambat mengantisipasi penyebaran virus ini di Indonesia,” tambahnya.
Politisi Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) juga meminta pemerintah jangan cepat puas dan terlena dengan laporan yang menyebut Indonesia tidak ditemukan terduga penderita virus corona.
“Bisa jadi fakta di lapangan berbeda sebab teknologi pendeteksi penyebaran virus ini masih lemah. Karena itu akurasi dan ketepatan teknologi serta SOP deteksi dan pemantauan penyebaran virus corona menjadi penting diperhatikan,” jelasnya.
Selanjutnya, Mulyanto menegaskan pemerintah perlu segera meminta BRIN mengkordinasikan LBM Eijkman dan Balitbang Kemenkes melakukan pemantauan penyebaran virus ini.
“Pemerintah harus kerja cepat agar masyarakat aman,” tandasnya.
