Lakeybanget.com - Jejaring sosial Facebook meluncurkan layanan Shops untuk pengguna di Indonesia, untuk memudahkan transaksi jual-beli yang sering terjadi di platform tersebut.
"Bagaimana agar orang bisa jual-beli produk dengan mudah dan aman," kata pimpinan Facebook Indonesia, Pieter Lydian, dalam acara peluncuran secara virtual, Selasa.
Facebook Shops akan diberikan kepada toko online yang memiliki akun di Facebook dan Instagram, sebelum memberikan akses Shops, tim Facebook akan memverifikasi terlebih dulu informasi mengenai toko tersebut.

Facebook akan meminta toko untuk mengirimkan tautan ke laman resmi, kemudian menguji keabsahan situs tersebut. Setelah itu, Facebook akan membukakan akses ke fitur Shops di akun toko tersebut.
Saat membuka profil toko, pengguna akan melihat fitur Shops di laman toko tersebut. Klik untuk melihat katalog produk, kemudian untuk berbelanja, pengguna akan diarahkan ke laman resmi toko.
Transaksi jual-beli, termasuk pembayaran, akan terjadi di luar platform Facebook.
"Transaksi tidak terjadi di platform Facebook atau Instagram," kata Pieter.
Pieter mengatakan Facebook Shops merupakan cara mereka untuk membantu bisnis yang berada di jejaring sosial itu untuk memasarkan produk secara lintas platform.
Selama ini, pelaku usaha di Indonesia seringkali memanfaatkan Instagram sebagai etalase toko, kemudian, kesepakatan transaksi akan dilakukan di media sosial Facebook.
Meskipun tidak menyebutkan angka secara spesifik, Facebook Indonesia mengatakan grup di platform tersebut yang paling aktif di Tanah Air adalah komunitas jual-beli.
