MONITORDAY.COM - Muhammadiyah mengutuk keras aksi terorisme yang menyasar tempat ibadah umat kristiani yang sedang merayakan Paskah di Sri Lanka, Minggu (21/4).
“Pimpinan Pusat (PP) Muhammadiyah berharap para pelaku tindak kejahatan tersebut segera bisa ditangkap dan diadili serta dihukum berdasarkan pada undang-undang yang berlaku,” tegas Ketua Umum PP Muhammadiyah, Haedar Nashir dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Senin (22/4).
Dalam pernyataan sikap ini, Muhammadiyah mendukung setiap langkah Pemerintah Sri Lanka dalam upaya penyelamatan para korban serta pemulihan situasi keamanan dalam negeri.

Selain itu juga Muhamnadiyah mengingatkan Kepada pemerintah dan rakyat Indonesia untuk selalu waspada dinamika perkembangan global. Khususnya, tindak kejahatan terorisme, yang masih merupakan ancaman yang serius.
“Oleh karena itu, otoritas keamanan perlu bersinergi-kerja dengan masyarakat sipil, termasuk organisasi sosial keagamaan,” sambung Haedar.
Lanjut Haedar Nashir, dirinya menyerukan kepada seluruh umat manusia untuk senantiasa menjunjung tinggi prinsip dan nilai perdamaian, serta menghormati harkat dan martabat kemanusiaan.
Tiga tempat ibadah menjadi sasaran aksi teror di Sri Lanka. Di antaranya, Gereja St. Anthony, Gereja Katolik St. Sebastian, dan Gereja Protestan Zion. Selain itu, teror juga menyasar tempat-tempat umum seperti hotel. Aksi ini menyebabkan lebih 200 orang meninggal dunia dan lebih dari 450 lainnya mengalami luka.
