Lakeybanget.com - Manajer Wales Ryan Giggs pada Selasa membantah penyerangan yang dituduhkan kepadanya setelah media Inggris melaporkan ia ditangkap menyusul keributan di rumahnya.
"Tuan Giggs membantah semua dugaan penyerangan yang dituduhkan kepadanya," kata perwakilan pria berusia 46 tahun itu, sebagaimana dikutip Reuters, Selasa.
"Ia bekerja sama dengan polisi dan akan terus membantu mereka dalam penyelidikan yang sedang berlangsung."

The Sun melaporkan bahwa polisi dipanggil ke rumah mantan pemain sayap Manchester United itu pada Minggu malam setelah menerima laporan adanya gangguan.
Surat kabar tersebut mengutip Greater Manchester Police yang mengatakan: "Polisi dipanggil pukul 10.05 malam pada Minggu untuk melaporkan adanya gangguan. Seorang perempuan berusia 30an menderita cedera ringan, namun tidak membutuhkan perawatan.
"Seorang pria berusia 46 tahun ditangkap dengan dugaan penyerangan section 47 dan penyerangan umum section 39."
Ia dibebaskan dengan jaminan menunggu penyelidikan, kata surat kabar tersebut.
Asosiasi Sepak Bola Wales (FAW) mencatat tuduhan terhadap Giggs.
"FAW mengetahui adanya dugaan insiden yang melibatkan manajer tim nasional putra Ryan Giggs," kata FAW dalam pernyataannya.
"FAW tidak akan memberi komentar lebih lanjut pada saat ini."
Wales akan menunjuk skuatnya pada Selasa ini untuk pertandingan November melawan Amerika Serikat, Irlandia, dan Finlandia, namun menundanya, menurut laporan.
