Lakeybanget.com - Perangkat komputer dari Apple, Mac, diperkirakan akan dilengkapi dengan teknologi pengenal wajah setelah menggunakan sistem operasi macOS Big Sur.
Laman 9to5mac melaporkan penelusuran mereka untuk macOS Big Sur versi beta 3, terdapat kode untuk "PearlCamera", kode yang digunakan Apple untuk menyebut kamera TrueDepth dan teknologi pengenal wajah Face ID saat beredar bocoran iPhone X pada 2017 lalu.
Perangkat Mac selama ini belum mendapatkan teknologi Face ID, tertinggal dari iPhone dan iPad yang sudah beberapa tahun belakangan menggunakan pemindai wajah untuk membuka kunci.

Apple diperkirakan masih perlu waktu untuk mengembangkan Face ID di Mac, saat ini hanya MacBook Air dan macBook Pro yang memiliki fitur biometrik berupa Touch ID di keyboard.
Face ID pada perangkat Mac diperkirakan akan berfungsi sama seperti di iPhone dan iPad, meski pun belum banyak informasi yang diketahui tentang fitur baru di Mac tersebut.
