Sebenarnya sih, alasan utama Inggris ingin keluar dari Uni Eropa adalah persoalan perekonomian negara. Dengan keluar dari kelompok blok 28 negara Eropa itu, Inggris akan lebih demokratis serta bisa menerapkan regulasi yang lebih kompetitif dalam perdagangan pasar.

Nah bicara soal rencana Inggris keluar dari Uni Eropa, Indonesia justru akan kena hembusan angin surga. Direktur Riset Center of Reform on Economics (CORE) Mohammad Faisal mengatakan nilai tukar rupiah justru akan mengalami penguatan.
"Jika Inggris keluar dari Uni Eropa, itu akan membuat kepercayaan investor menurun. Pada akhirnya investor akan menarik diri dari negara-negara maju dan akan memilih negara berkembang, termasuk Indonesia," ujarnya kepada wartawan di Jakarta beberapa waktu lalu.
Andai Inggris jadi keluar dari Uni Eropa, kemungkinan kurs rupiah untuk mengalami penguatan sangat terbuka lebar. Sementara kemungkinan kurs rupiah untuk melemah justru sangat kecil.
Sekadar informasi, rencana Inggris untuk keluar dari Uni Eropa berawal dari desakan publik Inggris sendiri. Mereka mendesak pemerintah Inggris untuk segera keluar dari Uni Eropa.
